About the system#

European legislation is not a single code — it is a machine: institutions propose and adopt acts, agencies supervise and advise, and Member States transpose and enforce. This site maps that machine for cybersecurity. These pages explain the shared plumbing underneath the instrument deep dives.

Two ways in#

1. Legislative process — how a Commission proposal becomes law, when it “applies”, and what transposition means for directives.
2. Competent entities — which Commission DGs, EU agencies and national authorities sit behind the cybersecurity rulebook.

How this site uses that#

The homepage wheel shows the main directives and regulations at a glance. Overview, Regulations, Proposals and Countries are the four ways into the knowledge base. The Situation desk (/tools) is the interactive layer on top — scope, radar, overlaps, incident clocks and compare.
